NCL at Internoise 2022 - Proceedings

NCL provided a strong attendance to Internoise 2022 with six members of the team presenting at conference. Over the three day event in Glasgow, eight papers were presented providing conference with a glimpse into the work being undertaken by the company over the last 18 months. All papers are available through the links below.

A suite of papers presented some of the work undertaken by NCL and its partners to date for the United Kingdom Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in support of its environmental noise model design and build project. These included topics including:

• Impact of Ground Cover Dataset Selection on CNOSSOS-EU Calculated Levels
• Determining and Quantifying Effects of Favourable Propagation on CNOSSOS-EU Calculated Noise Levels
• Sensitivity of Input Parameter on CNOSSOS-EU Road Emission Levels
• Sensitivity of Input Parameter on CNOSSOS-EU Rail Emission Levels
• Automation of a National Noise Model

A further set of papers were presented focussing on work undertaken by NCL in the aviation sector. These included:

• Measurement of acoustic source data of taxiing aircraft for noise modelling
• Qualtifying Carbon in Airspace Noise Management Measures
• Simulating Changes in Aircraft Noise at Heathrow Airport during the 2020 Covid-19 Lockdown
