Noise at Work
Noise at work is subject to the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. These regulations were prepared to recognise the need to protect employees from the harmful effects of high noise environments on their hearing. Failure to comply with these regulations can lead to prosecution by the Health and Safety Executive.
Noise Consultants can provide advice and services to ensure that companies stay in compliance of the Regulations. Using a risk-based approach, we can advise on areas where action may be required in order to reduce noise exposure, and identify remedial action such as noise control measures and/or hearing protection requirements.
Our services include:
- Noise surveys and monitoring, including dosimetry;
- Specification of hearing protection; and
- Identification of noise control measures.
