Survey and Monitoring
Monitoring allows noise and vibration levels to be understood over a period of time, whether the main source is known or not.
Monitoring is typically used for a number of purposes:
Baseline Monitoring – which can be used to determine the suitability or otherwise of a location for noise sensitive development or the potential sensitivity of a receptor to a change in their noise and/or vibration exposure;
Compliance Monitoring – monitoring of noise from potential constant and disruptive noise generating activities such as construction work and wind farms, including the provision for noise limit triggers and alerts;
We have experience in developing, implementing and reporting noise monitoring exercises for projects in sectors including construction, defence and transportation. We have access to noise monitoring equipment that enable noise and vibration levels to be recorded over periods of hours to months.
