The Welsh Government has published its latest set of road and railway noise maps. The maps have been delivered using Defra’s new Noise Modelling System (NMS), and for the first time describe sound levels from all public road and railway sources nationally in Wales using the latest CNOSSOS-EU noise assessment method.
The noise maps are available using the DataMapWales online web viewer which is available here.
NCL are the lead contractor for Defra’s NMS project, supported by experts from Mott MacDonald, Stapelfeldt Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, NGIS and Acustica Limited.
