James Trow

James is Managing Director of Noise Consultants.  He formed the company in 2017 to complement our sister company Air Quality Consultants and has more than 20 years’ experience in acoustics, noise and vibration consultancy

Prior to forming Noise Consultants, James was the UK Technical Lead and Technical Director for noise and vibration at Amec Foster Wheeler Environment and Infrastructure UK Limited (now Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions UK Limited) where he led the noise and vibration team. 

James has a background in environmental noise modelling and environmental impact assessment and has worked in the UK and internationally on major infrastructure projects, mainly in the aviation sector. He is known for innovative and technical solutions and has a passion for programming. His project experience includes major roles in Heathrow development projects and HS2. He is also experienced in undertaking and overseeing research and development projects through to major Environmental Impact Assessments. He has worked on and led a number of noise mapping and action planning projects in both the UK and Europe.

Noise Consultants undertook a site suitability assessment in accordance with ProPG for proposed residential development.

A noise assessment in accordance with BS4142 for a proposed data centre development in Slough comprising three 13.5MW buildings.

 
 

Condition Discharge - Land off Newmarket Road, Cambridge

Noise Consultants undertook works required to assist in the discharging of a noise condition as part of a reserved matters application associated with an outline planning permission for 1,300 homes in Cambridge.
